We all lead busy lives with a list of “To Do” items daily. Not every items weighs equally in importance. So how do you prioritize the most important items, so you make sure that you accomplish them? Why not try a ranking system? Here are a few ideas to help you in the process:

Make sure you use a simple 1, 2, 3 system – keep it simple!

Use #1 for an immediate, have to complete task that might require some extra time or effort
Use #2 for a mid rangle task that you would like to complete today, but if necessary can be delayed a day or two.
Use #3 for busy work that you would like to do, but can be done at a much later date if necessary.

Make sure that you don’t make a lengthy list that doesn’t have a chance of getting done. Try to schedule no more than 3 or 4 #1 items daily. Also do not increase the amount of tasks that need done for the followng day because you didn’t finish them today. Take those that you didn’t finish and schedule them for the next day. This way you will have a feeling of accomplishment and actually be getting things done!
