In this article, I would like to share on the importance of branding in doing your selling on eBay.
I’ve found a lot of sellers on eBay are only focused on selling and do not have any emphasis on the importance of branding in their online business.
Why is branding important?
Branding is important because you want to differentiate yourself from other regular sellers so that you can easily capture your visitor’s interest in purchasing from you. A seller with his or her own style and way will help their visitors to remember them and will indirectly increase the visitor’s confidence in purchasing from that particular seller compared to other regular sellers that are selling the same item.
Branding will directly give the impression to your visitors that you are an expert in your field and will give the feeling that you are a seller who knows his or her market very well.
The question is what are the ways that you can do to increase the branding for your business on eBay?
Here is the list of a few simple things that you can do to improve the branding for your business:
1. User ID – If you are just starting out on eBay, the best thing to do is to choose a User ID that is relevan and appropriate to what you will be selling. As an example, if you will be selling sports shoes, you can choose the User ID SportShoes4U. Your visitors will easily remember you if you are using a User ID that is related to what you are selling.
2. Header – If you have your own eBay Store on eBay, you will have the opportunity to upload your own Header for your store. The header that you use should be something that gives a clear picture of what you are selling and not something that has absolutely no relation to what you are selling. For my earlier example, if you are selling sports shoes, your header should have attractive images of sport shoes. By using an appropriate header, you will give the impression that your online store is an elite store with high quality items. This will definitely encourage visitors to purchase from you compared to other sellers.
3. Color – Another simple branding strategy is by using a consistent color for your whole business. If you want to use the color red as the main color for your business, then you should use the color in all your display and promotion. You should use the color red in your header, in your online store and also in all other promotion strategies that you have for your customers.
There are various other branding strategies that you can do. However, what I have shared here is among the simplest things that you can do to increase your branding.
Do ensure that you use branding strategies for your business in order to increase your reputation and to distance yourself from other regular sellers. You will definitely reap the rewards from it in the long run.

Building an eBay business is not what it used to be like. It’s not as easy as it once was to sell on eBay. It used to be that any mom and pop operation could have a successful eBay business up and running in an afternoon. That was the past. However, eBay can still be an incredibly profitable venture. The only difference is now you have to actually treat it like a business and plan ahead.
In the past eBay fees were lower, competition was less fierce, the economy was stronger, the online auction platform was new and everybody loved the novelty of it. It really didn’t matter if you had the slightest business sense. You were going to make money if you sold on eBay. Pure and simple.
I’m sure we’ve all heard the stories about many people who came from nowhere to build a successful eBay business. They didn’t know what they were doing, but they still were able to create a full time income off of eBay. Read the rest of this entry »

Finding what sells on eBay is a lot easier than you think. Did you know that eBay releases “hot list” each month, helping people decide what is the best eBay products to sell!
BUT there is the down side, everyone has an access to this data, and in the long run it can hurt you. So you kind of have to judge the list, and see if there is a close to the list product you can resell to them.
eBay Helps You Out!
eBay has a hot items list, and consistently (every month) they update the list with their research data. This helps you because they do most of the market research for you. They also have the eBay pulse and that helps you see the niche market you would never thought of!
You should always consider the trends. Halloween coming, find out which costumes are popular. If it is Christmas coming, see which toys are popular. Summer is coming, any inflatable items that are popular!
You don’t have to sell only on eBay, you can resell on Craigslist as well.
It is more handling for you, but sometimes bigger profits. People don’t really see the Craigslist as the big market, BUT the thing is, it is HUGE! Last year, I was moving, and I had few things that just did not fit with my place. For each one of those, I’ve got 15-20 calls, I wished I had more of the items to sell. Read the rest of this entry »

Beating the eBay business competition is not an easy feat. In most eBay niches you will find many of the same products for virtually the same price. What then separates a successful eBay business from one that goes belly up? In a single word: “passion”. Those that don’t believe in their business, can’t possibly succeed. Finding a legitimate source of products you understand and learning how to sell them are the most important factors to your eBay business future.
eBay Business Product Suppliers: Go with a dropshipper
Finding products to sell in your eBay business may seem easy at first. You could certainly make products or find them at garage sale, but often this is either too time consuming or the market is not strong enough for this strategy. Others look to foreign importers for low bulk prices. Language issues or reliability problems often make this a frustrating option. One of the best places to look for high quality below wholesale items is a dropshipper. Dropshippers offer a wide range of products, often more than one million, that you can sell for profit in your eBay business or an online store. You pay nothing upfront for these products and the dropshipper takes care of all the shipping for you. Legitimate dropshippers also commonly offer a free trial period to test out the company’s services before you sign up for a monthly membership. Read the rest of this entry »

Starting an eBay business is a lot easier than you may expect, even if you don’t have anything to sell! That is one of the great things about eBay. You can find listings for lots and wholesale items right on the site, buy them and then piece them out in individual listings for great profits!
One of the easiest businesses to start on eBay is a Vintage Jewelry Business. Below you will find step by step instructions on how to set up your own and start raking in the profits just like I did. This is a not theory folk, I’ve actually done it myself and became an eBay Powerseller within just a few months.
To start an eBay business you will need a valid email address and a credit card. Any credit card will do, even a pre-paid debit card. Just follow the steps below and you will be selling in no time:
1. Go to eBay.com To the right of the eBay logo at the top left of the screen you will see the sign in or register links. Click on register and follow the simple instructions. In a few moments you will be a registered eBay seller able to list items for sale, and will have your own Home Page to operate from.
2. The next (and most important) thing you need to do is set up a PayPal account so you can get paid for the items you sell. Having a PayPal account is mandatory and PayPay is a wholly owned subsidiary of eBay, so the registration process is just as simple, and your two accounts will be linked. This is great because you can do your shipping through PayPal in an easy process that provides discounts, tracking, and delivery confirmation. Read the rest of this entry »

Contrary to popular belief, the path to a successful eBay business is not an easy one. Americans have been blinded by popular culture’s portrayal of eBay as a place where items sell for huge profits every minute. In reality, most eBay start-up businesses are doomed to failure from the start. If you have unrealistic expectations, you can not possibly build a rock solid business plan. In order to be successful, aspiring eBay sellers must find profitable products to sell, market them effectively and maintain strong customer service. Above all other methods, dropshippers provide reliable access to the products and knowledge required to build an online eBay business destined for excellence.
Products that sell consistently well on eBay are often difficult to come by and guaranteeing a steady supply can be frustrating and laborious. Garage sales present an opportunity to find some rare gems, but unearthing items that will sell well on eBay is like finding a needle in a haystack. Since garage sales are typically held only on Saturdays, one is forced to compete with 100’s of eBay businesses searching for the same items that sell on Ebay. Importers may provide a large catalog of products, but language barriers and the requirement to pay up-front for large lots of items, make this option unreliable.
Dropshippers represent the best of both worlds. They provide a wide variety of high-margin products that can be purchased in lots of anywhere from one item to several hundred. In addition, the eBay business does not need to purchase the product, unless it sells on eBay. A typical sale using a dropshipper takes place in three major steps:. Read the rest of this entry »

When people who are not too savvy on selling on eBay try to sell, they simply pick out a random product and cross their fingers – hoping it works and gives them profit. They are sorely disappointed when they find that there are only a couple of bids that are extremely below even $.01 of the profit margin. Then their self-esteem is low because they believe the best eBay sellers are just those who are naturally smart to begin with or simply got lucky and kept getting lucky until they hit big.
Well I’m here to tell you that it’s possible through the use of ingenious tools created by programmers, and other observing methods that you can buy wholesale clothing and sell them for profit on the eBay marketplace.
The problem that most people have, especially beginners, when it comes to the world of marketing on the internet is the simple fact that they can not find the products they need to sustain their business. They try going to wholesale stores such as Costco’s and Sam’s club, and even though they have great prices, they do not have the specific products needed to profit at times..
